Privacy Policy – Dipla
Dipla ("we," "our," or "us") built the Dipla app as a free application. This Service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
By using Dipla, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:
- Name, email address, and profile information
- Geolocation (to enable geolocated posts, nearby interactions, and local community features)
- Device information (model, operating system, unique identifiers)
The information we request will be retained by us and used as described in this Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you, such as:
- Google Play Services
- Firebase Analytics
- Other analytics and crash reporting tools
Location Data
Our app collects and uses your device's location data to enable location-based features, such as showing posts and content relevant to your current area.
- Location information is used only to provide and improve the Service.
- We do not share, sell, or disclose your location data to third parties, except as required by law or to trusted service providers who assist us in operating the Service.
- You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device settings.
Location Sharing & Visibility Between Users
Dipla uses geolocation only for features where the user explicitly chooses to share their location. Your location is never shared automatically, and the app does not track your position in the background.
Manual Check-In
Dipla requires users to manually confirm each time they want to appear on the map. Your location will only be visible to others if you deliberately activate the "Check In" feature inside the app.
Visibility Duration
When you choose to share your location:
- It becomes visible to nearby users for a limited time.
- After this period expires, your visibility ends automatically.
- You may also hide your location at any time.
Dipla does not store long-term historical location data about your past check-ins.
Blocking & User Control
If you block another user:
- They cannot see your location, posts, or profile.
- You will not see their content either.
Log Data
Whenever you use our Service, we (and third-party tools) may collect data and information from your device in case of errors. This may include:
- Device IP address
- Device name and model
- Operating system version
- App configuration at the time of error
- Usage statistics (time, date, session length)
Cookies
Dipla does not use cookies explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use cookies to improve their services. You can choose to accept or refuse cookies. Some features of the app may not work properly if cookies are disabled.
Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to:
- Facilitate our Service
- Provide services on our behalf
- Perform analytics and support
- Assist us in understanding usage patterns
These third parties may have access to your personal data only to perform these tasks and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
Security
We value your trust in providing your personal data. We use commercially acceptable means to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to Other Sites
The Service may contain links to external websites. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. These sites are not operated by Dipla. We strongly advise you to review their Privacy Policies, as we are not responsible for their content or practices.

If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has shared personal data with us, please contact us.
